SYMTC is a friendly yet professional motorcycle training college that offer exceptionally high standards of tuition for all levels of motorcycle training.

We cover Rotherham, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Lincolnshire.

Located less than a mile from the new super test centre in Rotherham (where all the regional tests will be conducted), we are ideally situated to offer motorcycle training.                        

Whether you are looking for Compulsory Basic Training, Direct Access Scheme (DAS) motorcycle training or taking light motorcycle training for a test in South Yorkshire, our Driving Standards Agency (DSA) approved and advanced instructors will develop your skills as you progress from your CBT, through to your motorcycle test.

Though at SYMTC we do not ride the test routes (after all, you want to be able to ride any road safely and not just pass the test!), you will get to know the area well enough and this will give you confidence whilst on your test.

The College has an excellent reputation and a very high percentage pass rate. 

We operate well conditioned and well maintained motorcycles, most only 1 year old, and we can tailor the bike to suit a student’s size. 

If, after your test, you wish to improve your skills further, then you will be able to take advantage of our post-test and advanced training courses.

We offer competitive prices across our training packages which are conducted in a relaxed enjoyable step by step manner.

Direct Access and Standard Motorcycle
Training Courses


These are the courses we currently offer.


A. 5 Day Block booking

Normally a five hour training day with 30mins for lunch, timings can be tailored to suit individual needs but are usually 0900 – 1430.


B.  2-3 Day Split Courses Over Two Weekends

DAS course lessons can be arranged in 2 hourly increments including evenings (May – Sep) even from your own home on a one to one basis. Phone for details and prices. Please note that the test day must be on a weekday.
 
CBT Training – Complete Course

The CBT training normally takes about 6 hours to complete. Helmets, Jackets and over-trousers can be supplied; you should where possible wear sturdy boots (no steel toe caps) and a minimum of denim jeans when doing your training.
